Jeff Tweedy Collaborates With Nick Offerman on New Music, Auctions Amps for Charity

Nick Offerman, most famous for starring on NBC's “Parks and Recreation,” is a big fan of Jeff Tweedy. After directing a videofor his Tweedy side project and, later,announcing plans to marry him, Offerman has now collaborated with Tweedy on five original songs,Entertainment Weekly reports. The songs can be heard on the audiobook edition of Offerman's Good Clean Fun, which is available now on iTunes.
In addition to his collaborations with Offerman, Tweedy is also working with Schroeder Amplification for a charity auction. Tweedy is auctioning off two prototypes of his as-yet-unreleased “Jeff Tweedy Ramjet Preamps” to benefitHaymarket Center, a recovery facility in Tweedy's hometown of Chicago. The Jeff Tweedy Ramjet Preamp is “a dedicated high-end guitar preamp designed to deliver a wide range of clean to overdriven tones in the studio or on stage.” Tweedy designed the amp to deliver tones similar to those heard throughout Wilco's 2015 release Star Wars. The auction will run for seven days.
