Band of Horses are currently on tour behind their new album Why Are You OK. Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 19, they will perform in their hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. While in the city, the band have announced a number of efforts to support Charleston in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. All proceeds from Band of Horses’ endeavors will be donated to the Tri-County Hurricane Matthew Recovery Fund (established byTrident United Way, in partnership with Charleston’s The Post and Courier).
First, Band of Horses will sign posters, which will be sold at their evening show at the North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center. At the show, there will be a raffle offering an autographed Band of Horses guitar, or one of the signed posters plus a merch prize pack. The venue will also collect canned food donations at the door, and Trident United Way will be at the venue, too, to collect donations.
In addition to their North Charleston PAC show, the band have announced an afternoon concert at the city’s Truphonic Studios. They are auctioning off entrance to the show here.
